trip will start by heading east out of Fredericksburg. From Fredericksburg,
you will take a small side trip to the zany, crazy town of Luckenbach. Then
you will follow the route of a vanished railroad looking for signs of its
ghostly remains on the countryside. After winding through the small towns of Waring and
Welfare, it will be on to the charming town of Comfort to explore and learn
about the diversity of its settlers and architecture. Plan for this to take most of a day so you will have time to
explore! After reaching Comfort, you can choose to head back to
Fredericksburg in less than an hour or follow our suggestions for staying
